He learns about currents, temperature, waves, fronts, upwelling, etc. He gets into trouble along his journeys and makes many animal and plant friends. He and his mother Vera went in different directions. He searches for her and eventually they are united again. Designed for elementary students.

Sites for Middle - High School- Acoustic Thermometry of Ocean Climate (ATOC) Sound Travel in water. Good diagrams and explanation of the study of temperature and its effects on sound in water. From the University of California, San Diego. Also has information on Marine Mammals.
- OCEANIC, the Ocean Information Center has a lot of oceanographic information and links
- Tracking Drifter Buoys explores how scientists measure ocean currents using buoys.
- The Aquatic Network Subject areas covered include aquaculture, conservation, fisheries, limnology, marine science and oceanography, maritime heritage, ocean engineering, and seafood. This is a commercial site, so click on Subjects after the main screen. The Oceanography Education page lists phone numbers, addresses, and some links to appropriate sites.
- SeaWiFs Home Page A NASA site. There is a Teachers' Guide called The Living Ocean available. It is aimed at Grades 9-10. Also includes a Gallery temperature scans from the NASA satellites.
