WORMS
- Beat
one
egg until
frothy.
- Stir in
one cup (or more) of
flour until you have a
stiff dough.
- Knead for 10
minutes.
- Pinch off 1 inch balls of
dough and roll (like clay) to make worm shape. Let dry 30 minutes
before cooking.
- Drop one at a time into
boiling water. Boil for approximately 6 minutes.
Note: Worms can be dried
overnight and stored like dried pasta.
ALSATIAN SMOTHERED
WORM
- Dredge the worm with
seasoned
flour.
- Sauté in
three tablespoons
butter until
browned.
- Cover with
sliced
onions, pour over
one cup thick sour
cream, cover pot
closely, and bake in a slow oven until tender.
DESSERT
WORMS
For each individual
serving:
- Place
one chocolate cookie
wafer in bottom of
cupcake liner.
- Fill liner 2/3 full with
chocolate
pudding.
- Put
one gummy
worm in pudding
leaving part of the worm sticking out.
- Top with
crumbled cookie
wafer (to look like
dirt).
