The white cheeked gibbon mammal that lives in therainforests in Central and South America. It is black and white in color. The body length is 18-25 inches, and its weight is about 12 1/2 pounds.
The white cheeked gibbon eats some small animals, ripe fruit, and buds of young leaves. It lives in the layer of the rain forest named Canopy, high in the trees.
The gibbon is special because its life span is 25 years. It has extremely long arms and legs designed for hanging by its feet from branches. It is an endangered species. Logging and military activities have hurt the habitat that supports them.
